Japanese Sword Workshop with Swordsmith Munehiro Myochin

This tour offers a unique opportunity to experience a Japanese sword workshop with Munehiro Myochin, the second son of the Myochin family, who has been swordsmiths for the Himeji clan since the Heian period. The workshop takes place at the Myochin family’s forge.

After a detailed explanation about Japanese swords, you’ll have the chance to directly handle a sword and try your hand at sword forging. It’s a chance to experience the craftsmanship and history preserved by the Myochin family, known as one of Japan’s greatest swordsmith families.

・Pickup by private car from JR Himeji Station or a city hotel.
