Normally operated only in the daytime, this special charter is open exclusively for delegates of 20th World Conference of Historical Cities. Glide past massive stone walls and the graceful silhouette of the castle at twilight while an English-speaking guide shares stories of Himeji’s “peaceful castle,” the rebuilding of these boats using traditional techniques, and the everyday life that once unfolded along these waters.

・The cruise may be cancelled or modified in case of rain, strong wind, high water level, or safety concerns.
・Please arrive at the meeting point on time. If you are late, you may not be able to board and no refund will be provided.
・The wasen is an open wooden boat. It can be cold on the water at night, so please wear warm clothing and flat, non-slip shoes suitable for an outdoor evening activity.
・Life jackets will be available on board. Please follow all instructions given by the boat staff and guide.
・There are no toilets on the boat. Please use the facilities at the meeting point before boarding.
・For safety reasons, drunken passengers may be refused boarding.
・Photos are welcome, but please be careful with your camera or mobile phone around the water.
◆This tour may be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not met.
